According to Professor Glenn Albrecht, “Soliphilia is the political affiliation or solidarity needed between us all to be responsible for a place, bioregion, planet and the unity of interrelated interests within it,” or in simpler terms it is the love and responsibility for Papatūānuku. It is the antidote for ‘Solastalgia,’ which means the distress that is produced by environmental change.
