Change is Good

– On the 10th of December 2004, New Zealand became the third country in the world to make all indoor workplaces, including bars and restaurants smoke-free.

– On the 1st of November 2009, New Zealand banned texting and using handheld cell phones while driving.

– In 2014, New Zealand drivers could no longer exceed 50 milligrams of alcohol per 100 milligrams of blood.

– In 2019, after the Christchurch mosque attacks which claimed the lives of 51 innocent individuals; New Zealand amended their Arms Act 2019. Most semi-automatic firearms, some pump action shotguns, some tubular magazine firearms and certain large capacity magazines were banned.

Change is good. Sometimes it is necessary.
