Mindfulness

“A bird sitting on a tree is never afraid of the branch breaking, because its trust is not on the branch but on its own wings.” – Charlie Wardle

Ruminate on that… We have everything to gain by believing in ourselves, and everything to lose by not.

This month, take the time to slow down. When you wake, set your intentions for the day. Remain present while you engage in whatever you are doing. Let the past go and try to not worry about the future. Doing these simple things, will help us to not become overwhelmed and overly react.

Many of us have found the last several years especially challenging; the unprecedented global affects of COVID-19; many countries isolating; inflation; winter, and flu bugs circulating.

Take this opportunity to get involved with the Mental Health Foundation of New Zealand and the The Kindness Institute‘s initiative ‘Mindfulness Month’ throughout August and engage in mindfulness daily. Please also donate $1.00 or more to my fundraising page: https://events.mentalhealth.org.nz/…/mindfulness-month to benefit Aotearoa’s mental health system, of which many of us utilise.
