A tremendous amount of volunteer hours, passion, persistence, petrol (to meet interested parties and monitor the New Zealand sea lions/pakake in The Catlins) and networking went in to building the ‘Protect Endangered New Zealand Sea Lion’ campaign.
Mine and your voices created a chorus, of which commanded the attention of the Clutha District Council. Without your support, the ‘Vehicles on Beaches Bylaw’ would not have come into effect. It is not the Bylaw we asked for, but it is a building block.
