1. What is your whakapapa?
I am part Russian and part German. My people are the Mennonites. I moved to Aotearoa in 2013 and have lived in Ōtepoti since.
2. What is your go-to breakfast?
Banana and PB smoothie or a big ol’ bowl of porridge.
3. What do you do?
I’m a social scientist. I teach anthropology and sociology at the University of Otago. I have a background in Middle Eastern archaeology.
4. What makes life beautiful?
Connecting with people, sharing the love, making music, food, playing silly games with my daughter.
5. What are you passionate about?
I am very passionate about politics, in particular animal liberation, intersectional vegan feminism, decolonisation and anti-fascism.
