Surpreendente Amazonia

Without Amazonia, there is no order, no progress, no Brazil! In August 2021, Brazil saw the largest indigenous demonstration ever organized, which included several Brazilian celebrities. Indigenous voices have gained strength! All to fight for a greater good, a good for humanity!

Indigenous land in Amazonia has been under threat of extinction due to deforestation, logging and mainly mining. Between January and July 2021, the destruction of the forest rose to 35 percent compared to the same period in 2020. Indigenous land in Brazil is considered a fundamental tool for preservation, as once they had the lowest rates of forest clearing, but unfortunately, this has changed. In recent years, Indigenous land has been the target of various illegal activities. Between August 2020 and July 2021, deforestation in Indigenous land took place over 20,769 hectares, equivalent to nearly 21,000 soccer fields. It is noteworthy that a large part of the Amazon is in Brazilian territories. Still, Amazonia is a World Heritage Site as it is the Earth’s largest tropical forest, and it has been an important carbon sink over the years.

We have failed in our mission to protect the Amazon! This fight does not belong only to Brazil. A famous Brazilian DJ has used his music to give Brazilian Indians voices and the Amazon. If you want to know more, click on the link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2_pxZJxtHyk.
