I first wrote about The Batch Cafe in June 2020 and it remains one of my favourite eateries in Southland NZ.
You step in the door at The Batch Cafe and are greeted by the staff and delicious aromas.
The Batch Cafe care about reducing their impact on Papatūānuku and demonstrate this by using compostable takeaway cups, paper straws, cardboard takeaway containers and growing a portion of their kitchen produce.
Their latest initiative is their crop swap “Shelfie.” According to Kate the co-owner, “Taking is as cool as giving on this Shelfie”
